What types of services do you perform?
We perform ceremonies that suit your needs, interfaith, non religious, religious, commitment, vow renewals, etc.
Why does it cost so much, for such little work?
This a common question and misconception.
To the common person it may seem as though officiants only do 15-30 minutes of work. However in reality there is so much more put into a wedding than meets the eye. Please consider the following items that officiants have to work with on one single wedding:
- Personal contact via meeting with bride and groom face to face or phone consults.
- Research and coordination of customized wedding ceremonies.
- Emails and phone calls with Brides and Grooms
- Childcare for my littles ones while I am tending to the ceremonies, rehearsals, consults, etc.
- Preperation for the upcoming ceremony, semi memorizing, proofreading, etc.
- Travel time to and from rehearsals, ceremonies, consults, etc.
- Early arrival times awaiting ceremonies to start, guests to arrive, awaiting rehearsals to begin, etc.
- The ceremony itself
- The rehearsal itself
- The consults
- Time taken for marketing (so brides can find me....you found me somehow right?)
- Website fees
- Advertising fees
- Office supplies and expenses
- Long distance phone calls
- Cell phone charges for Brides and Grooms to catch me last minute
- Postage fees to send out marriage licenses
- Time spent finalizing marriage licenses
The list goes on....we love what we do and that is why we do it. These items listed above are worth every minute of performing a ceremony, seeing the happy couple so in love!!
Do you have references?
We will be glad to put you in contact with a couple of our brides and grooms!
Can we meet ahead of time?
We do everything to accomodate our brides and grooms, if you wish to meet ahead of time we have no problem scheduleing a time for us to get together. We usually meet brides and grooms at our local coffee shop.
Do you travel? If so, how far?
We do travel the entire state of Michigan. Some travel fees may apply. We have family and friends in several parts of the state, so when possible we stay with them to save on hotel costs if need be.
Will you attend our rehearsal?
We sure will! We highly reccomend being at rehearsal it makes things much easier on you as the bride and groom, your bridal party, as well as ourselves. It is possible to not have us attend, but it will make things more stressful. We do have an additional fee for attending rehearsal.
How long have you been in the wedding industry?
We have been in the wedding industry in one capacity or another for approximately 12 years. We love weddings!
Can my children be a part of the ceremony?
Definitely!!! We have several different ways to include children into the ceremony, after all they are part of the family!
